And then it was a thursday! Time flies when you're having fun right ;)?
Today we had the plan to go to the library for the workshop they are giving every week. So at 10.45 we where there and everyone was waiting in the children play corner. 5 Minutes later some lady came by to take us downstairs. There was a big room to dance, and sing and to make some music. I think they where some parents but nanny's as well. First Isabel and Angela where a little bit shy. So they both really hold my hand and where very calm. The other children where a bit younger like 1 year. So Isabel was for sure the biggest one. First we where singing some new songs that we didn't know, but when the songs came like 'old mcdonald, twinkle twinkle, abc etc.' they where start having fun! The girls really motivated the other children to dance with them togheter.
It took only 30 minutes so the workshop was over in a soon time.
After our music activity we had some time to take a picnic in the park at the library. There you have a beautiful view at the skyline of Manhattan.
Really relaxing with the view and the lovely songs the birds where making.

Friday it was girls day! In the first days i told Isabel that i had some nailpolish with me so you can imagine from a real girl that that is not going easy out of her mind. So that Friday i told her to do that after the nap. But no Ashley, we can do this first and then go after the nep outside!? Well, oke... So they could choose a color and then they had to sit still for a few seconds. Isabel did exactly know what to do. But Angela was all over the place with her hands ;) so after a few times explaining her i decide to play a youtube song so they would be sitting still for sure ;). Then it was time to make the hair nice. Well actually, mine. We had also some time to dance on the music and we where having a lots of fun!

Yeey weekend! For the saturday we had a 'baptism' from the sun of a good friend of Pedro on the program. So i was very curious how that would be and how the girls will behave. It was all in Spanish so i did not understand much of it but it looked nice. Pedro was taking the girls by hand at the place where they where making pictures as well, so they could see it better. They where so calm and sweet! And that for a long time... wow!
After the church we went to their home to drink and eat something. They where having a lot of nice food made by their own and some nice colombian cocktails as well! For the rest there where no other children but again they where playing so nicely by there selfs or with us. And that without a sleep or nap. After the party Pedro and Aleksandra decided to go to Central Park with all of us to enjoy the nice sun and let the children having some fun. So that was my first Manhattan experience!
In the car i saw allready the nice skyline of Mahattan and not much later we walked on 5th avenue! We walked for a little while in central park and we saw a few squirrels as well! They came really close that we could almost touch them.

At Sunday we wanted to go to the MoMA. Museum of modern art. But when we came there, they told us to not have free entrance for 2 of us (as we tought before...) and we where having only 2 hours to spend there and that would be a expensive activity then. So we decided to just have a snack time and just have a walk next to some beautiful buildings.
We walked to the Rockefeller place and we saw a bit further the Empire State building. Very impressive!! Before we went to Manhattan i tought that it would be to much of eveything but it seems to me a very nice busy place and i really loved it! The girls can really go for a long walk.. Most of the time they want to walk by there selves.

At monday we decided that it would be nice for the girls if i would take them to the top deck upstairs to play with the water. Because for the time i'm here they are playing with fluids from cup to cup to cup.. And they can play with that for such a long time and concentrated as well! So i took all the plastic cups, bowls and boxes i could find and a lot of water. It was not that warm so after a half hour, very cold hands and a empty bin they agreed to go inside ;).
After the nap we had to go to the supermarket to buy something and on the same way there is a small playground so i had to go there to see if the girls liked that as well. They where sooo happy to see the playground so for sure that we will go that way for more. In the supermarket we came by the bakery corner so that was the moment Isabel saw all the cupcakes and big cakes and for sure Ashley had to buy some mini cupcakes... Mummy would allow that ;).

I really love it over here! Angela is now really starting to ask me things in Dutch and sometimes Isabel is so far busy in Dutch that she is having conversations with Angela in Dutch. They are really used to have me over here and Aleksandra en Pedro are really taking care of me, i feel almost to be their 3th child in here ;).
